thinkin' about Memorial Day...

As I am planning the menu and counting out the plasticware I was thinking about the real purpose of Memorial Day. I think that most of us patriots do stop to ponder and remember the reason for a long weekend. As we are all grillin', sunnin', and drinkin' this weekend let's not forget what we are celebrating and remembering which is, of course, the men and women that have served our country so that we may do our grillin', sunnin' and adult beverage havin'...and perhaps if you witness someone not recognizing the reason they just popped a top you could give them a gentle reminder.

God Bless our grandfathers that served and all of the men and women that help to keep our country safe and sustain our freedom.

thinkin' west coast thoughts...

We've done it; we've made the decision that if I am offered a job on the west coast during this crazy unemployed time that we will finally bite the bullet and make the move. No more second guessing ourselves; if the money is good and the job is what I want to do for the next 5 years we're going to do it. Just because we move away doesn't mean we can never move back, right? Right!
So that's what we are thinking about today- the west coast...calling our name.
Our first choice is California, second is Nevada, third is Arizona and fourth is Texas (because Texas is just south and the goal is the west coast).

So we don't have kids so we'll bore you with info about our dogs, our daily lives, my job search, our travels, random thoughts, etc.
